Today is only Tuesday and yet it feels like Friday. Why? I think I’ve done a week load of work and chores already. I’ve been busy. I can’t even reply to the comments I have in all my three blogs. So sorry, friends. This mommy is busy making moolah. I need every cent I can manage to find and work for. I don’t have a real husband to take care of me financially. Ok, enough of that. I’m not here to rant on and on about being busy and getting paid for it. I should be rejoicing. So, yey! But there’s a downside to all this. I may have made a load of cash but every cent brought along a friend by the name of Extra Weight that happens to be always with me and lovingly stays on my backside. How can I make it go away when I sit in front of the computer all the time?
Anyway, these are the things I want to do if ever I should be lucky to get some time off.

My good friend Lena is truly generous. Imagine giving me four awards. I haven’t received more than two awards at one time so this is truly special and heartwarming. Thanks Lena! Today is father’s day and I had lunch with the family to celebrate it. We went to one of the newer restaurants in one of the biggest malls here. I didn’t get my father anything. I was supposed to buy a gift but I suddenly found myself very busy these days. I tried to give him money but he didn’t take it. I don’t know if he felt insulted. Was he happy? I really don’t know. I didn’t mean anything by it. Anyway, happy father’s day to all fathers.
Hope your weekend was happy. The weather seemed to have made up its mind and decided to become sunny all weekend long. It’s good and it’s hot but I generally had a blast this weekend because of father’s day. The family all got together and enjoyed lunch and conversation. I ate my favorites. I drank my favorite iced tea. I saw and talked with my favorites. I think my father was happy that he saw us all. Except for my sister whom he had a falling out with.
Anyway, happy father’s day to you, Papa. I still feel small and special with you beside me.
Forgive me for a minute while I collect myself. You see one of my favorite books of last year, The Time Traveler’s Wife, is coming out on film this August. And I can’t wait. I hope this is not a disappointment. Normally when books become movies, they are big disappointments. But the movie trailer left my stomach in knots that I’m pretty sure this movie would be different. Plus the fact that it stars Eric Bana who is my ultimate crush, what more can you ask for?
I’m sorry for the lack of post, everyone. I’ve been sick. I even thought I had that FLU. Thank God I was cleared and only had viral infection. I didn’t even care to ask what it meant. I’m just thankful that I didn’t get the swine flu. Anyway, since I was home most of the time last week, I had the chance to surf. I was not in the mood to do a blog post obviously. i don’t know why. I felt I had nothing worth posting.
Anyway, I found out that there’s a new Hayden Kho video. After all the senate brouhaha, the uploader has not stopped. It seems that the Senate is just a joke to him. Whoever is doing this, I think he or she has the means and the reason for doing it. I didn’t say that it’s a valid one but he has one. And why all the Maricar Reyes videos?
One other thing…I also found out that I have a batchmate who is an international porn star. I don’t know what happened to her. By the way, we came from an exclusive all girls school and this classmate of mine was a typical highschooler. No trace or hint that she would be a porn star. I don’t know why she chose the porn route but I’m hoping that that was really her choice and that she’s happy with it. To each his own.
And how many of us can say that we had a classmate who is an international porn star?
Being a mother has taken over my life. I have hardly any time to spend on myself, let alone run up my computer and write a blog entry. And to think I have 4 kaching posts that have to be up and live by Wednesday. I may have to rethink my blogs for the coming year. No more lengthy entries. It will be a good challenge for me to be more concise in my writing. I have actually started early part of the year and it may continue depending on the present situation. I’m examining the possibility of a moblog instead. A mobile blog since I’m always on the go and especially now that school has started. I just have to figure out where to get extra money to buy a celphone that would help me do just that.
Wholesale. I love that word. Who doesn’t? Nowadays every cent counts and retail seems like so yesterday. I don’t even buy retail anymore unless it’s super cheap and it’s a matter of life or death. Why should I when I can haul boxes of instant noodles and soda and even a big box of sanitary napkins from wholesale clubs instead of doing my grocery shopping in regular supermarkets and paying full retail? It’s just much wiser to buy in bulk and at a discount.
Actually, buying wholesale is not new to me. I remember when I was still a little girl, my mom had a small store selling almost everything needed in a household. There were catsup, soy sauce, detergent soap, shampoo and even cigarettes. I used to man the store and salesmen would often drop by the store offering my mom things for sale.
