I’m being a lousy blogger, just spending all my time outside in the sun, reading books on my bed and eating mangoes. Today I woke up, drank a little coffee and watched a little TV. I’m heading to the gym in awhile if I have enough will power to leave the house and not think about how nice it is to just stay home and sleep all day. With the weather we’re having right now, I’d be crazy to leave the house for anything. Anyway, I’ll post the continuation of my family drama and probably put up a blog roll of my favorite blogs to share with you starting with…Perhaps, tomorrow.

dailies: not a good day
Today started out on a bad note. To think it’s the start of the week and start of the month. I just hope that this won’t set the tone for the rest of the week and month. Monday has always been a busy day for me and MG. MG has therapy sessions every Monday and today, she just had to throw one of her tantrums very early in the morning. We are out of town now and we were supposed to leave for Manila at around 6am but we weren’t able to because my little kid started crying while saying over and over, “No teacher Bernie, no teacher Pat.” As if MG knew that she’d meet her least favorite teacher today. I thought she was going to go crazy. So I gave in and now, we’re still here in Fontana. Which means I won’t be keeping my appointments later today. Anyway, so sorry Bel and April.

dailies: MG’s art exhibit
Last Friday, I attended MG’s art exhibit. I didn’t know that the all participants made more than 10 types of artworks in those 12 sessions. I am so proud of MG. She really has come a long way from those years that she barely spoke a word, drew stick figures or even wrote anything. Much improvement can be seen now. Anyway, I took photos of her artworks. They’re not masterpieces or anything but to me, they’re priceless.
liquid diet
diet shakes
So I have finally succumbed to one of those diet shakes. Yes, this girl is getting desperate by the hour. And how has it been so far? Well, I think I can keep drinking choco shakes for as long as there’s no potato fries in front of me. The other day, after being successful at this diet, a friend brought sour cream flavored potato fries in my home and I gladly accepted. So there went my diet that day. But I immediately went back to drinking shakes after that. I haven’t done my weigh-in. I might after one more week. Anyway, that’s it for now. By the way, the home front is nowhere near to getting better. Talk to you soon.

men’s gifts
Father’s day is just around the corner. Actually, it’s next month and I still don’t have any idea what to give my own father. I don’t want just any kind of men’s gift. It should be something special. Something he can use or something he can use once in awhile but is valuable. It doesn’t have to be expensive. I remember one of the retirement gifts I gave him. It was his favorite picture with his officemates. So I had all his office buddies sign the picture frame with that photo in it. He loved it. So I was thinking of a gift along that line. Something personalized like some graduation gift baskets I saw online. Actually I’m sure that my dad would appreciate any gift I give him. He’s not materialistic or anything. But he almost has everything. That’s why buying him a gift is extremely hard because I know he already has it or he can buy it for himself. I realized just now how hard it was for my mom back in the day when they were still together. I say good for her and not so good for me because I’m still having a hard time obviously. Not that I’m complaining. I love giving gifts especially to my loved ones. I even love giving gifts to people I barely know. That’s how generous I am. Ahem. Ahem. Anyway, what gifts have you given to the men in your lives? Do you shop in malls, specialty stores or do you make it yourself? Or are you someone who shops online? If you are, I suggest you visit Mens-Gifts.com. I just stumbled upon this online store just recently. They have everything for every occasion. Even Father’s Day. And the prices range from cheap to reasonably expensive. And I’m quite sure you’ll find something. And I know I’ll find something eventually.

dailies: canyon woods
We went to Canyon Woods last Sunday. We were with my sister’s family. Of course, our vacations would never be complete without swimming. So the first thing we did when we got there was change into our swimsuits and go to the Clubhouse. The outdoor pool was closed for monthly maintenance so we had to use the indoor pool which was just fine with us. Because the sun was shining so bright that day that getting sunburn was expected. And we didn’t want that to happen. Again, a vacation is not complete without pictures.

road trip

This just in. We’re going to Tagaytay tomorrow. I badly need to get away for awhile. So I won’t be blogging the whole day tomorrow even if it kills me. How’s your weekend so far? Mine is turning out pretty great.

family
yes, no, perhaps
Yes, I’m still alive.
No, I was not abducted by aliens or by sweaty men.
Perhaps, I should explore blogging from space or practice writing posts from my mind. I’m talking crap again.
Till next time. When my mind is clear and my family is not in shambles.
