I haven’t spent much time in the house the last three days, so just a quick check-in: Got to hang out with my kids, sister, nephew and nieces and got some R&R finally. But with kids around, you know I’m totally lying but I had ‘fun’ nonetheless. We went to Fontana in Pampanga and I was really disappointed with the place. There was no internet and it was raining most of the time so the kids didn’t get to swim. The resort hotel didn’t offer much of a diversion or entertainment and had no other interesting places to explore. And my sister who was sleeping all the time didn’t like to go out and brave the traffic of Angeles. Anyway, it was boring and forgettable. It was a good thing I got to do my grocery there.
In other news that was reassuring, I finally got word that our condo’s design and layout plan was approved and we can start work soon. So my before Christmas moving-in target date might come true. I was in a bit of a drought and started to, well, doubt that we could move in this year. So phew. Bonus that we could spend Christmas in our new home. Isn’t that great?
So I hope your weekend would not be rained out.
happy weekend, people. wherever you are….

Managing busy-ness has become a major concern for many of us. Imagine, today is Sunday and yet, I’m here doing chores that accumulated over the week. Again, where did the week go? This busy-ness, how does one handle it? There are shelves full of books devoted to manage and meet the challenge but do they really help?
Some say everything can be solved with a little dose of time management. Big words like scheduling and preparation also come into play. That’s why Martha Stewart is successful and so popular today. Who would have thought that watching a millionaire woman giving tips on how to fold a napkin or how to make the flowers in vases stay fresher longer would be such a hit? I mean, I didn’t even listen to my own reliable and able mother about housekeeping and now I’m supposed to watch Martha Stewart and her tremendous handy tips. But then again, that’s probably the reason why I’m so screwed when it comes to housekeeping. I am not a follower of Martha Stewart.
To understand my attitude towards housekeeping, one needs to know that I don’t believe that in marriage, the woman has to take care of all the shitwork. I can make pancakes for my children. I can iron my son’s uniform but I can’t iron my partner’s shirt if life depended on it. No way. I believe partners are equals and should not recieve special treatment or privileges. But then again, I’m separated. That’s probably the reason why I can’t keep a partner.
What am I saying here? I didn’t get married and thought of washing the dishes or making the bed or folding shirts. I got married because I got pregnant and I immediately found myself thinking ahead to taking care of my kids. Now, my theory is becoming complicated. And to think that this just all started with my busy-ness. I need to have a break.
It’s that time of the year again when people, especially women, go nuts about shopping and literally empty their bank accounts. Christmas is just around the corner, if you haven’t noticed it yet. As much as I want to update my wardrobe, I can’t and I don’t want to. I don’t want to buy a new set of outfit in my present weight. I would update my clothing once I lose the extra ten pounds. That’s a promise I made to myself just recently.
I would rather go out and spend money on accessories. I love accessories, and nothing does it like a new pair of sunglasses. You see, it’s summer all year round here in our side of the planet. That’s why a pair or two of sunglasses is a must here. I especially love aviators. They may be considered men’s sunglasses but that’s in the past. Now, a woman can wear it and pair it with any wardrobe. And you can never imagine the magic it does to any drab outfit. It’s super. I also fancy sunglasses with sleek metal frames. They look very stylish, and they fit any face shapes very well, even my round face.
I love huge women’s sunglasses. The ones that take over half of your face. They are still so in! The style is reminiscent of the Jackie-O era. Although over-sized, it frames the face beatifully and elegantly. It’s hard to not think of your favorite celebrities and fashion icons and not think of what sunglasses they are sporting.
Whatever the purpose of buying a pair of sunglasses–protection from the sun, glamor and style or adding to your collection–make sure you buy something that makes you feel more confident and happy. And more importantly, buy from reputable online shops that carry original designer brands at reasonable prices. Sunglassesonline.com has a wide array of sunglasses to choose from.

My friend called me yesterday. Remember? She’s the one I had a sort of ‘falling out’ with. Apparently, she’s not mad at me. Not even disappointed. I guess true friends are really like that. They try to understand everything and try to forget what’s been done and undone. I’m lucky to have a friend like her. And a few more.
Here’s one of the photos from her wedding held last month in Muriwai Beach, New Zealand. Congratulations, my dear friend.

It still feels like summer here. There’s a certain ‘hotness’ in the air and when go out in the middle of the day, the sun hits you head on. But that does not excuse us to have a good cup of coffee or whip up and slurp down a cup of hot cocoa.
And look at this mug from Max Brenner’s. It’s shaped like a cacao bean and it’s handle-less so you can cradle the cup with both your hands. They call this the ‘hug mug’. It’s designed to create ‘the ultimate experience of warmth and coziness - the openness of the mug allows the aroma of the chocolate to be thoroughly enjoyed.’
I just wish it’s chilly out here so it would be a more pleasant experience.
happy weekend, people. wherever you are….

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” This is from Matthew 19:26. One can Find out more verses in the Bible similar to this but I chose this verse to guide me through life.
Throughout history, this verse or saying has been very significant. How many times have we witnessed the impossible happen? There are no rational explanations, no available evidence. Everyone would just start proclaiming that some miracle happened and it is usually true. A miracle happens everyday especially when we have the Lord in our lives. When we believe in him and entrust our worries and problems to Him, He takes care of us no matter what.
True enough, this verse has been a sort of a happy pill that I take when difficult occasions arise. When I’ve done everything I could in a situation and nothing happens, I just know that I must be forgetting the one very important factor and that is God. In every decision that I involve Him, I’m pretty sure that I would be in good hands. But there are times when I become stubborn and don’t follow His laws and I would, sooner or later, get a kick in the butt or a wake-up call. That’s when I know that the Lord is doing His work on me even though I chose not to include Him. That’s how He shows his love for us. Even though how many times we forsake Him, he does not leave our side. He’s truly a father to all of us.

Where can you find The Largest Online Music Store and have the freedom to do as you wish with each mp3 download you Tmake? With westsounds.com, I can browse from more than two million tracks from over a hundred thousand music artists. And just recently, after the brouhaha of Beyonce’s changing her name, I’ve downloaded her songs as well. I download my MP3 here. I can burn my downloads to a CD, play in any mp3 player including iPod, cut and paste to any folder in my computer. Isn’t it great? And it even allows you a 30 second preview of songs but you only pay for the actual songs you download. And it does not even need a monthly membership unlike some music downloading stores.
Right now, you can register and download mp3 for free and even get $0.15 sign up bonus to your account after you’ve successfully registered. The store is constantly updated so you can be sure to find the latest tracks and old time hits and even the most complete Madonna discography. And of course, I couldn’t pass up my favorite band of all time, Coldplay and wish that the band comes up with another album soon.

Where did the week go? I started thinking about how much I’ve done this week and how much there is still left to do. And I started to think how I love weekends and where I am, the air is just beginning to turn cooler. The days are warm, the nights are quiet with occasional rain and barks from my neighbor’s dog or probably from my neighbor himself. =)
5 things weekends make me want to do:
1. Make pancakes or champorado.
2. Go for a walk at night.
3. Start reading a new book.
4. Buy fresh fruits and make a salad.
5. Find a quiet place to sit and read by.
happy weekend, people. wherever you are…
